Ice Surfers Hockey Academy Programs
Improve your hockey skills on and off the ice

Ice Sessions
Our morning practices consist of carefully crafted drills focusing on isolating skills required to improve: skating, edge work, speed, shooting and game scenario development.
Afternoon game sessions range from full ice 4v4 to small area 1v1. These games are meant to get players out of their comfort zone to practice their skills during game settings in different environments to accelerate adaptability all while having fun!
Leadership Workshops
At Ice Surfers Hockey, we believe that leadership and teamwork is fundamental to a successful player and person. Our leadership workshops are designed to encourage the players to work together as a team while problem solving and completing challenging activities. Each session includes an activity and a discussion about the importance of leadership and team building to ensure players get the most out of these events.
Stickhandling & Shooting
These off-ice stickhandling practices utilize synthetic ice to simulate on ice performance. Players develop important stick skills, puck control and fun puck tricks that they can then practice at home.

Shooting is a new addition to the 2025 season! This will occur outside with practice nets and implement the synthetic ice in targeted areas to practice accuracy, power, and skill.
Off-Ice Sport Specific Training
Training off the ice is crucial to complement all of the hard work your players put in on the ice! These strategically designed training sessions focus on improving agility, coordination, speed, strength and endurance - all important skills to possess on the ice.
